Cass Community Health Foundation joins Harrisonville Area Chamber of Commerce

HARRISONVILLE, Mo., (Feb. 2, 2018) – Cass Community Health Foundation (CCHF) became official members of the Harrisonville Area Chamber of Commerce after a ribbon cutting ceremony at its Cass County Dental Clinic in Harrisonville Friday, February 2.

The clinic is the first and only safety net dental clinic in Cass County, Missouri with locations in Belton and Harrisonville. In 2017, 3,516 low-income children aged 0-20 were served at both clinic locations. CCHF also conducts free dental screenings in Cass County schools as well as awards scholarships to Cass County high school seniors interested in pursuing careers in health care.

The ribbon cutting ceremony followed the Chamber’s First Friday Coffee event at the clinic. Waddell and Reed, represented by Kevin Wood, sponsored the event. Wood is president of the Chamber, CCHF board member and chair of the 24th Annual 5K for Health. The 5K for Health, scheduled for Saturday, May 5 at Belton Regional Medical Center, is CCHF’s annual fundraiser for the clinic and its scholarship program.

Nearly 70 community members and Chamber members attended the networking event and ribbon cutting ceremony.
