BELTON, Mo., (Jan. 20, 2020) – Cass Community Health Foundation (CCHF) recently received a $7,500 grant from Prime Health Foundation. The grant will help support CCHF’s work at their safety net dental clinic, Cass County Dental Clinic.
The Clinic is the first and only safety net dental clinic in Cass County, Missouri with locations in Belton and Harrisonville. Children and teens ages 0-20 are served at both clinic locations. The clinic educates families on oral disease, daily habits and changes in behavior that will reduce the risk of dental disease. Its goal is to increase access to high quality, compassionate and culturally sensitive dental services, while empowering families to live healthy lives through oral health education.
“We are so appreciative for Prime Health Foundation’s generosity as we work to increase access to quality oral health services for low income uninsured children and those insured by Missouri Medicaid,” Cynthia Randazzo, CCHF president, said. “The work being done at out clinic is not only increasing access, it is preventing future decay, increasing oral health education among families, and improving the overall health of our patients.”
