BELTON, Mo., (Nov. 12, 2020) – Give a smile when you give a toothbrush this #GivingTuesday during Cass Community Health Foundation’s campaign to raise $2,000 for 2,000 toothbrushes.
Cass Community Health Foundation’s safety net dental clinic, Cass County Dental Clinic, serves low-income uninsured and Missouri Medicaid patients from birth to age 20 at their two locations in Belton and Harrisonville. Each patient receives a toothbrush, meaning the clinic goes through thousands of toothbrushes every year.
“Keeping our community healthy is more important than ever and it all starts with the dental needs of our children,” Cynthia Randazzo, Cass Community Health Foundation president, said. “Providing access to oral health care to kids in Cass County and the surrounding area improves our overall health. Our GivingTuesday campaign allows community members to prioritize healthy smiles by giving a toothbrush to a child in need.”
GivingTuesday is a global generosity movement, unleashing the power of people and organizations to transform their communities and their world. GivingTuesday will kick off the generosity season this year by inspiring people to give back on December 1, 2020, and throughout the year.
GivingTuesday was launched in 2012 as a simple idea: to create a day that encourages people to do good. Over the past nine years, this idea has grown into a global movement that inspires hundreds of millions of people to give, collaborate, and celebrate generosity.
Cass Community Health Foundation’s is inviting friends and supporters to provide healthy smiles to thousands of children at Cass County Dental Clinic this GivingTuesday. Each toothbrush is only one dollar, meaning small donations can go a long way in improving overall health for Cass County and the surrounding community.
