BELTON, Mo., (Dec. 21, 2020) – Cass Community Health Foundation and its safety net dental clinic, Cass County Dental Clinic, recently received grants from Health Forward Foundation and REACH Healthcare Foundation.
Health Forward Foundation has awarded Cass Community Health Foundation $189,000 and REACH Healthcare Foundation has awarded $50,000 for 2021. Both foundations have supported Cass Community Health Foundation’s clinic since its inception by providing grant funding for 10 consecutive years. The two foundations helped establish the safety net clinic by awarding grants to Cass Community Health Foundation in 2010. The clinic opened July 5, 2011 in Belton, Missouri with a satellite location opening in Harrisonville, Missouri in 2015. Since its doors opened, more than 10,000 patients have been treated through nearly 51,000 visits.
The clinic offers dental services to children and adolescents age zero to 20 in Cass County and the surrounding area. All patients are low-income. The funding from both foundations allows the clinic to achieve improved oral health outcomes for children and teens and provide dental services that are high quality, compassionate and culturally sensitive.
“As we move into 2021, we are excited to celebrate the 10-year anniversary of Cass County Dental Clinic and that celebration wouldn’t possible without Health Forward Foundation and REACH Healthcare Foundation,” Cynthia Randazzo, CCHF president, said. “These two organizations have an incredible commitment to improved oral health in Cass County for underserved children and teens. We consider ourselves lucky to have partnered with them throughout the past 10 years and we look forward to creating smiles with them for many years to come.”
