Cass County Dental Clinic welcomes new dentist

BELTON AND HARRISONVILLE, MO., (March 16, 2016) – Cass Community Health Foundation (CCHF) and the Cass County Dental Clinic will welcome Madeline Sloan, DDS as the new dentist at the Belton and Harrisonville, Missouri safety-net dental clinic later this month.

Sloan joins the Cass County Dental Clinic from the Samuel Rodgers Health Center in Lexington, Missouri where her patient base included children. She graduated from the University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Dentistry in 2014. After graduation, she became experienced in oral surgery and prosthodontics at Heartland Dental in Raytown, Missouri.

She has presented at the Midwest and Iowa Dental Conferences and was the recipient of the American Association of Public Health Dentistry Award in 2014. Her dedication to providing communities with proper dental care has taken her to Kansas City and Lafayette County schools and head start locations, migrant farm worker campsites in Lexington and Waverly, Missouri and to the citizens of Belize in Central America.

“The Cass County Dental Clinic is very successful in providing access to oral health care for underserved children in the area. I am eager to join this cause and begin working with members of the community to help improve the dental health of Cass County youth,” Sloan said.

With two locations in Belton and Harrisonville, the Cass County Dental Clinic treated 2,736 underserved children through 5,735 dental visits in 2015. The Harrisonville clinic opened in July 2015 to expand access to dental services for low-income and uninsured children and teens in the central and southern parts of Cass County.

“We are privileged to have Dr. Sloan join the clinic staff. She has experience in providing dental care to underserved communities and we are excited for her to share her talents and passion with the Cass County Dental Clinic,” Cynthia Randazzo, CCHF president, said.

The Cass County Dental Clinic is a safety-net dental clinic that offers dental services to children and adolescents age zero to 20 who are low-income uninsured or insured by Missouri Medicaid.
