The Mader Foundation awards Cass County Dental Clinic $10,000 grant

BELTON, Mo., (Oct. 11, 2018) – The Edward G. & Kathryn E. Mader Foundation recently awarded Cass Community Health Foundation’s safety net dental clinic, Cass County Dental Clinic, a $10,000 grant.

Cass County Dental Clinic is the first and only safety net dental clinic in Cass County, Missouri and has seen more than 3,700 children and teens in the first nine months of 2018. The grant will be used to purchase disposable dental supplies used during each patient visit. The clinic budgets approximately $61,000 on supplies each year.  Nine dollars is budgeted on disposable dental supplies per visit.

“As our patient base continues to grow, we are grateful for the support from The Mader Foundation,” Cynthia Randazzo, Cass Community Health Foundation president, said. “Our clinic relies on generous organizations like The Mader Foundation to treat the underserved youth population in Cass County and southern Jackson County.”

The Mader Foundation has been awarding grants to Cass County Dental Clinic since it’s opening in 2011. The Foundation focuses on assisting organizations committed to the health, education and welfare of children in Greater Kansas City. They have a strong desire to serve children and hope that they will grow up healthy and strong in mind and body.
