Provide toothbrushes, toothpaste, and floss to children in Cass County on Giving Tuesday

Giving Tuesday

BELTON, Mo., (Nov. 13, 2023) – Toothbrushes and toothpaste and floss, oh my! Cass County residents can help provide these essential oral hygiene products to children on Giving Tuesday. Cass Community Health Foundation has set a goal of raising $2,000 for its safety net dental clinic, Cass County Dental Clinic, on Tuesday, November 28. Every dollar will be used to purchase toothbrushes, tubes of toothpaste, and units of floss for children and teens who are treated at the clinic.

Cass Community Health Foundation’s Giving Tuesday campaign is Wizard of Oz themed, giving community members an opportunity to donate at different levels. Donations to the foundation will go directly toward the purchase of essential oral hygiene products. A $100 donation will purchase 100 toothbrushes, 300 tubes of toothpaste, and 400 units of floss. A $50 donation will purchase 50 toothbrushes, 150 tubes of toothpaste, and 200 units of floss. A $25 donation will purchase 25 toothbrushes, 75 tubes of toothpaste, and 100 units of floss. Community members can donate at additional levels.

“Oh my! We are delighted to be hosting another Giving Tuesday campaign that allows individuals in Cass County to contribute to our safety net dental clinic in a meaningful way,” Cynthia Randazzo, Cass Community Health Foundation president, said. “Please consider helping us reach our $2,000 Giving Tuesday fundraising goal. Your donation will help us purchase toothbrushes, toothpaste, and floss for the children and teens we serve. It’s an easy way to support the health and wellbeing of young people in our community.”

GivingTuesday is a global generosity movement, unleashing the power of people and organizations to transform their communities and their world. GivingTuesday will kick off the generosity season this year by inspiring people to give back on Nov. 28, 2023, and throughout the year.

Cass Community Health Foundation established Cass County Dental Clinic to serve as the county’s first safety net dental clinic in 2011. The first location opened in Belton with a second location opening in Harrisonville in 2015. Each year, the clinic serves thousands of children and teens from families that would otherwise struggle to afford dental services. Cass County Dental Clinic is proud to be the dental home for many in Cass County — and there’s no place like a dental home.
