BELTON, Mo., (Sept. 15, 2025) – Cass Community Health Foundation’s annual 5K for Health is set for Saturday, May 2, 2026, at Southwick Stadium in Belton, Missouri. Registration is now open to the community. The 32nd Annual 5K for Health will raise money for patients at Cass Community Health Foundation’s safety net dental clinic, Cass County Dental Clinic.
The clinic treats thousands of children and teens who otherwise couldn't afford dental care at its two locations in Belton and Harrisonville each year. In May 2025, the clinic opened a brand-new, state-of-the-art facility at 1000 Markey Parkway in Belton, Missouri. The new building allows Cass Community Health Foundation and Cass County Dental Clinic to expand access to oral health care. By participating in the 5K for Health, community members can help sustain the operations of the expanded clinic and support this vital cause.
Cass Community Health Foundation is aiming to raise $105,000 for Cass County Dental Clinic through the 5K for Health. Registration for the event is now open. The registration fee is $40 per participant, which includes the official 32nd Annual 5K for Health t-shirt, access to the 5K for Health with vendors and freebies, and all-you-can-eat Chris Cakes. Individuals who raise $150 or more will be eligible for additional prizes. Walkers and runners are encouraged to form fundraising teams with family, friends, or colleagues to contribute toward the overall goal. Participants may also register their dogs for $15, which includes a commemorative bandana and treats.
“The 5K for Health is more than just a race, it’s a way for our community to come together and ensure children and teens in Cass County have access to the dental care they need and deserve” Cynthia Randazzo, Cass Community Health Foundation president said. “With the opening of our new clinic, the need is greater than ever, and every step participants take helps us sustain this vital resource for local families.”
Teresa Deaton of American Family Insurance in Belton will chair the 5K and Kelly Crumley Director of Student Services with the Belton School District #124 will co-chair. The 5K begins and ends at Southwick Stadium in Belton, Missouri and circles Cleveland Lake. Day-of registration begins at 7:30 a.m. and the 5K begins at 8 a.m.
