BELTON, Mo., (Mar. 31, 2025) – The 31st Annual 5K for Health, hosted by Cass Community Health Foundation, is just around the corner! Community members from Cass County and the surrounding area are encouraged to sign up soon to help raise funds for the foundation’s safety net dental clinic.
Every dollar raised will directly support Cass County Dental Clinic, which provides essential dental care to thousands of children, teens, and pregnant individuals who might otherwise go without treatment. By participating, runners, walkers and donors alike will help expand access to quality dental care for those in need.
The 5K for Health is scheduled for 8 a.m. on Saturday, May 3 at Southwick Stadium in Belton. Those interested in walking or running can register at casscommunityhealth.org/5k. Each participant pays the $40 registration fee and receives the official 5K for Health t-shirt, a numbered bib, and an invitation to the 5K Health Fair. The health fair includes music, raffle prizes, all-you-can-eat Chris Cakes, and vendors with freebies. Participants can also register their dogs for $15 and receive a free dog bandana and dog treats.
“Whether you run, walk, or donate, your support of the 5K for Health helps brighten smiles and improve lives,” Cynthia Randazzo, Cass Community Health Foundation president said. “We invite the community to sign up, spread the word, and be a part of this meaningful event.”
After registering for the event, participants should invite family and friends to sign up to walk or run as well or donate to their fundraising page. Prizes will be awarded to participants who raise $150 or more.
Sandy Kessinger of Country Club Bank will chair the 5K and Teresa Deaton of American Family Insurance will co-chair.
