Applications now open for Cass Community Health Foundation health-related scholarships

BELTON, Mo., (Jan. 22, 2026) – Cass Community Health Foundation has opened applications for its health-related scholarships for students in Cass County and surrounding areas pursuing health care degrees, with priority given to those seeking a nursing degree. The deadline to apply is March 15.

Current high school seniors from Cass County and Grandview high schools are eligible to apply. Eligible high schools include Archie High School, Belton High School, Midway High School, Drexel High School, Grandview High School, Harrisonville High School, Heartland Christian School, Pleasant Hill High School, Raymore-Peculiar High School, Sherwood Cass High School, or Training Center Christian School. Students from Cass County who are home-schooled are also eligible to apply. All applicants must have a cumulative GPA of 3.0.

College sophomores and juniors accepted into a nursing program are also eligible to apply. Applicants must be graduates from Belton High School, Raymore-Peculiar High School, or Grandview High School. 

Cass Community Health Foundation also offers scholarships to students from Cass County or current residents of Cass County who are enrolled in the practical nursing program at Cass Career Center in Harrisonville, Missouri; Kansas City Kansas Community College in Kansas City, Kansas; Johnson County Community College in Overland Park, Kansas; and Concorde Career College and Metropolitan Community College – Penn Valley in Kansas City, Missouri. Preference is given to students who have a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.5 or above.

“Cass Community Health Foundation is dedicated to supporting the next generation of nurses and health professionals by providing scholarships to local students,” said Cynthia Randazzo, president of Cass Community Health Foundation. “These scholarships help relieve financial pressures so students can focus on their education and clinical training. This investment in health care education benefits the entire community.”

In 2025, Cass Community Health Foundation awarded a total of $35,500 to 29 students. Scholarships available include the George & Elizabeth Robinson Memorial Scholarships, William & Ruth Hoppen Memorial Nursing Scholarships, Diane Martin Memorial Nursing Scholarship, Daniel F. Sheehan Nursing Scholarship, and Cass Community Health Foundation Scholarships. Visit casscommunityhealth.org/scholarships to apply.
