*HISTORY

Cass Community Health Foundation was first established as Research Belton Hospital Foundation in 1984 to help raise funds to support a broad array of essential hospital services for Research Belton Hospital. Research Belton Hospital Foundation raised charitable contributions to help assist in the delivery of outstanding patient care to residents of Cass County, Missouri for nearly 20 years.

After the for-profit health care company, HCA Midwest Health, purchased Research Belton Hospital in 2003, Research Belton Hospital Foundation concluded its affiliation with Research Belton Hospital. While no longer affiliated with Research Belton Hospital, the foundation's remained focused on empowering the community though improved health.

In 2012, Research Belton Foundation changed its name to Cass Community Health Foundation. The name now reflects all constituencies that it serves.
